GEN energija, d.o.o. is the parent company of the GEN Group and is 100% owned by the Republic of Slovenia.
Our core task is the strategic management of companies within the Group, which together form a comprehensive, low-carbon electricity system. As a holding company with active equity participation, we guide the development of subsidiaries and jointly controlled companies, participate in management bodies, approve key strategic documents and ensure coordinated business operations at Group level.
In addition to managing the holding company, we also develop our own professional and operational activities, with particular emphasis on the internal development of trading, strategic planning and the implementation of key investment projects. GEN energija is the promoter of the JEK2 project, which represents one of the most important steps in the development of a long-term, stable and low-carbon electricity supply.
